Solid monitor!
Excellent monitor. I have had absolutely no problems using this monitor, and it serves me very well! I use it as both my computer monitor as well as to display my Xbox 360 on. I have had no issues with dead pixels, and the viewing angle seems sufficient enough, especially after adjusting the monitor settings (contrast, brightness, screen tone, etc). Speakers are tinny sounding, though, seeing that it is my computer monitor, I play my audio through my surround sound system. I do feel that the base could bit a bit smaller possibly, and the monitor could be a bit skinnier (though, I'm much more happy with the available connections than being bummed about the thickness). Solid monitor if you want multiple HDMI inputs, a 27" LED monitor, and the ability to use audio (though I only recommend using the speakers in a pinch)!

Great PC image; Poor Xbox image
Purchased this as a replacement PC and Xbox 360 monitor. PC picture is amazing using a DVI > HDMI connector. Xbox picture is terrible. After searching the internet for possible fixes, using each of the HDMI ports, different HDMI cables, Component cable and a multitude of different settings, the picture is just horrible when playing a game (the Xbox dash is fine) - jagged edges and very dark.I have a larger Sony TV, which has a great Xbox picture (HDMI and no picture adjustments needed). I think I'll be going back to my Asus monitor, which doesn't have any issues with the Xbox.So to sum up, if you're looking for a PC monitor, this should do the trick. If you're looking for an Xbox monitor, avoid like the plague.

Okay for a small HDTV display
Bought this from Costco to evaluate. The other review appears to be correct, there is no HDMI audio return so that you cannot use this for your ATSC tuner and have the TV sound played through a stereo. That scuttles this for me (as a primary home theater TV).Other than that, this monitor has a crisp, vibrant look. Pixar's UP, and the BD release of 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY looked great on this. Digital TV performance was okay with an external antenna. Changing the display aspect took several steps, which is annoying as one of our local PBS stations insists on broadcasting in a letterboxed 4:3 widescreen format, not conventional 16:9. But this monitor supports not only 1080p, but 24p which is an advanced capability for Blu-Ray movies to display at the film's correct original 24-frames-per-second frame-rate. I'll be looking for this in my next TV purchase. (Update: I later bought a Samsung UN40ES6100 series SmartTV which has this and many other advance color correction options.)The stand and viewing angle is fixed, and this TV has a 2-5° tilt forward and down ... another annoyance that precludes me from keeping it.

Very Good Monitor / TV
I purchased the Samsung T27A300 about 2 weeks ago and am very satisfied with my purchase. I bought it refurbished and on sale at $206. The monitor itself is very crisp, very bright, and big. I read a lot of reviews about the lack of an audio out and the on-board speakers being terrible, which are both true. The on board speakers aren't as bad as everyone is making them out to be, but the lack of an audio out truly disappoints me, it is not a deal breaker though. Since I mainly use it with my computer its not a bug deal. I compared it to apples 24" LED monitor and the picture wasn't far off, being around $400 cheaper with multiple inputs, it was great. I was a little hesitant at first since I had a 22" Tv/Monitor from samsung and it was absolute garbage, but this monitor is very nice. The tilt can go far back and a little to the front (5* back and 1* front)In short: Great monitor/TV with a great picture. Perfect size for a college dorm or on a desk.Pros:-Great picture, depth, and brightness-Cheap-Perfect size (for a small room)-Does what its suposed to-USB media play is cool (I guess)Cons:-Speakers aren't very good.-No audio out-Samsung's stands are ugly as hell.

T27A300S\ Samsung
1. Default sound inferior quality and inadequate volume. Tweaking the settings can improve it.2. No Audio out, because it is a monitor3. Good picture. Many different settings available4. Screen tends to tip slightly forward5. In spite of problems, we will keep it.
