Florida's Uplands (Florida's Natural Ecosystems and Native Species)

I am a biologist (predominately wetland focused) that recently took a job with an environmental firm out here in Florida. What I had always heard but never paid any mind to was Florida being it’s own separate entity apart from any other state; which I soon came to understand to be 100% fact! I purchased all three books (Florida Wetlands & Florida Waters) as a simple reference/refresher on FL ecosystems. I have plowed through half of this book in record time! It is an awesome read, the descriptions are conscious but detailed enough to get a full understanding of topics, terms and processes. The book flows wonderfully from one topic to another, the pictures and illustrations are sprinkled nicely throughout and it is truly is an informative and enjoyable read! Two thumbs up!

This series is an essential for the Florida naturalist. Plenty of graphics, beautiful pictures along with serious text.
