SEKI EDGE SS-108 - Stainless Steel Straight Edge Nail Clipper

As the old adage goes, “you get what you pay for”. I have a lot of cheap nail clippers around the house but none were straight edge. I like a straight edge on my fingernails so finally searched on amazon to discover they do make these. I saw ones for $7 or less but chose this one as I am tired of having clippers only partially cut a cuticle or having to really press hard to cut a thickened nail. Hoped by paying more i would get a better product and it turns out i was right. I will admit these are smaller than i anticipated, hence the pictures i took to show you some size comparisons. The cutting edge is really sharp and makes clean cuts except some of my nails splintered a little next to the cut as the cutting surface is not wide enough for an entire nail unless on a pinky finger. The nail file is shockingly nice, a fine grit and great to even out the nail after cutting. However it is a little awkward to maneuver for filing at the right angle, but not a major negative. I guess the nails on my toes must be closer to the skin than most people’s as i still find it difficult to use these clippers or any others to get between the skin and the nail to clip, but that is not why i bought these anyways. For my fingernail usage, these are great!

Several years ago while in Japan I bought a nail clipper at 711. The blade was very sharp but the shell was made of plastic. I’m so happy with this nail clipper it’s constructed well and the blade extremely sharp. I highly recommend this one. Easy to hold but be very careful when using it. Cuts through hard nails with ease especially your toenails. Well worth it.

I'll skip the excited exclamations about what a great straight-edged nail clipper this is and just say if you've been frustrated with junky clippers all your life, please try this one.I was very tired of wwasting time and money on clippers that cut terribly the minute I bought them. I did a google search and saw Amazon pop up with the Seki clipper. I'm partial to straight-edged clippers and have trouble finding them in regular stores. Therefore I was intrigued. After reading just the first five reviews I was convinced to try the Seki. It's definitely the most expensive clipper I've owned, but cliché as it may sound, you definitely get what you pay for.The clipper has an obvious sharp edge, clips smoothly and cleanly. I love the design on top of everything else. When you flip it to be ready to cut, the top part of the clipper has what I'm assuming is an emery strip. I don't know if it was intended to have a double-use of an emery board and a patch to keep your fingers from slipping, but I dont' care! With all my previous clippers, if my hands became too oily, I would have to stop and wash them as I couldn't get a good grip since the metal would become slippery.I definitely plan to buy more and perhaps even give them as gifts.

I had been having problems with nail clippers, never finding the right ones that would do a good job clipping my nails cleanly and evenly, not leaving spurs, could clip fingernails and toenails, could handle the corners on ingrown nails or problem areas, could handle small clean-up spots without making matters worse, and so forth. I also had trouble finding clippers that would work in my hands with some very bad nerve tremors. I had bought individual clippers, sets of grooming tools, specialty clippers and items, and all sorts of things, all to no avail. I took a chance when I saw these Seki Edge clippers, and I could tell immediately I did not go wrong. First, they are very sharp, high-quality clippers - and sharpness makes a huge difference! They are aligned well, which eliminates the spurs and uneven spots. The basic fingernail and toenail clippers have specially formed ends and holding grooves on both the top and bottom ends to make them much easier to hold when your arm is extended, even with hand tremors.I can't imagine using anything else now. I let my wife try them out, and she loved them. I watched over her as she used them, took them back from her immediately, hid them from her, and am buying a set of them for her for her birthday at the end of this month. All the clippers purchased are excellent products I would highly recommend to anyone who wants great clippers at a reasonable price.

I'm a licensed nail technician that has tried many different clipper over the years and recently have been on the hunt for another pair. Well my search is over! These little clippers sure pack a punch in a big way! They are straight edged and super sharp! Perfect for fingernails and even children's nails. Definitely won't clip thicker nails but perfect for that precise cut! Would recommend these for even professionals! Will buy again when needed.

One of the best nail clippers I've ever used. The design is perfect. It takes almost no effort to cut your nails and it is sharp. It also has a metal file that easily smoothes any rough surfaces. The only issue is its size. It is a small clipper for fingernails. You can use it on toe nails, but its size makes it difficult. But even with it's limitations, it is an excellent nail clipper.
