Great product, works exactly as described.
Somehow I managed to work on my own cars for more than 50 years without the need to rivet anything. When the window on my '85 Corvette stopped going up or down I found out that I would need 2 rivets to replace the ribbon. First placed I looked for a rivet gun was on Amazon and purchased this one after reading several of the reviews. I have several other Stanley products and they are all good quality so I expected this to be equally as good. Without any prior knowledge about riveting I installed the 2 needed for this job the first time. The riveter worked perfectly, exactly as described. I'm so impressed that I've been looking around trying to find something else to rivet.

Stanley MR100CG Contractor Grade Riveter
Stanley MR100CG Contractor Grade Riveter I purchased this rivet gun from Amazon. I had read some of the reviews and one thing that concerned me was that someone said it would not break off the head of the rivet. I have never used a rivet gun before so I didn't know anything about one. Well, it does break off the head everytime. That person must not know how to use one either and he didn't get lucky like me and find out just by chance. If the rivet isn't tight, it won't break off the head, but you get a second bite and when the rivet gets tight, it WILL break off the head. Very good gun. Very well made. Don't be afraid to buy this gun.

Straight-forward, Reliable Tool
Durable: I build lockers so I only really make use of this at the end of a job. Beforehand it takes the beating of me throwing all my other tools at it day in and out. User Friendly: Easy to operate and change out sizes. Gemerally using for full workdays with minimal hand discomfort Cons: Takes a little to break in before it starts to work smoothly. But, that goes for many other brands as well. Only other minor inconvenience I've noticed is the metal latch that hold it shut when in misuse is rather weak. This is, however, a relatively easy fix.

Best riveter I've tried so far
This works a lot better than the arrow riveters I've used in the past and am accustomed to. I haven't had them bind up or fail yet and have popped a few hundred rivets with it. The handles are comfortable and won't slide off after a few months of use like the previously mentioned brand's will. The only drawback, which is minor in my opinion is there is no clip or locking mechanism to keep them closed for easy carry in a tool bag. I fashioned one up out of some heavy wire that I found on the ground and it works great. If I manage to break these, I will look to get something similar.

Would not buy!
This is why I wait awhile to post reviews. Tool worked great the first time I used it, four 3/16 inch rivets in quick and slick, put the tool away. Grab it again yesterday to do almost the exact same project, the first rivet gets stuck in the tool. There is not a lot of info on trying to find help when this happens, you tube had like two videos and one of them was in Russian. So I get the rivet unstuck because at this point I'm thinking user error, Worked great again for one rivet and then BAM! next rivet gets stuck in the tool. After the second removal of a stuck rivet the plastic collar holding in some of the "guts" was too damaged and now the tool is useless.

Way better than the Sears brand riveter I had previously!
This riveter works *so* much better than the one I got from Sears. With the Sears one, I had to grip, grip, and re-grip the handle several times just to get it to start pulling the rivet (I'd probably have to pump it 10 or 15 times to finish). With this one, it gripped the rivet immediately, and completed the job in 2 pumps. It was actually a pleasure to use - a truly professional tool.

Solid item, with lack of wrench storage. This is a lifetime tool, with a vital piece that will go missing before I am dead.
Solid feeling tool. Instructions poor, no illustration on how to install loose spring in packing/instruction handout (idea of loose spring is good, but no place to store it when not installed, so it WILL get lost). Other tools in this price range and below have on- tool storage for wrench, so it too will get lost. Come on Stanley, think about how someone actually uses your device, from start to finish. Yeah it is cheaper not to have a slot to place the wrench, but accountants rather than users are being served here. Make me a happy rather than annoyed user the third time I use this device.

This thing is built like a tank
The only concern I have is that the two handles are kind of far apart. I have big hands, but I still need both to grab it at the ends of the handles. Other than that, this thing's a beast! Squeezing those handles is effortless. The cast handles are going to last for years. I would have liked to see someplace to put the wrench, but that's not a big deal.

Make the job easier and quicker. My previous riveter was yellow and looked like this one but there is no comparison in performance.

Bought this riveter when it came on sale and it has been a great tool. Includes multiple tip sizes and even a tool for removing and replacing them (mind you i lost it but thankfully pliers or wrenches work just fine). I'd used the same model previously which my employer had and i was impressed then, as i am now. haven't had it jamb up nor cause any issues. It just works!

Unhappy as the description in the product description states country of origin in USA but on the packaging it states that it is actually from china.

Product itself preformed well so far. My issue is that the item was delivered missing the wrench to change heads, that product packaging was opened already, so the issue is really with the seller
