Does not connect directly at all no matter what you do, you can however use it to record to the SIM card and then watch it later if you plug it into your computer, for some reason it will not shut off though, so the battery dies fairly quickly,I do not like an item that does not do what it says it will do, you cannot view anything live, I would like to add something, I have now had it for 2 days, and it does not work at all, do not purchase this item

Pleasantly surprised with this product. Impressived quality of the video and the photographs it takes and the ease of use it has. The box comes with the camera and other accessories, a power cord, user manual and a kit to attach to the wall with brackets. The camera looks in good quality. Just download the app （android and ios device are all supported） and connect it with wifi and see the real time image (almost imperceptible because of its small size), you can mount the camera to wall or other place which made of iron because of it comes with a magnetical bracket . After you can configure it to connect to the Wi-Fi at home, access is easy, and I can see live what happens.One the other hand , from the app you can record video and take pictures . There are three qualities of image , low , medium and high. The low to spend few data on the phone, the high to see it surprisingly of very high quality.Oh, also great night vision and in total darkness everything looks great. In addition, the led light can be turned off on the app so that it has no any led while it recording, whatever.I am very happy with this purchase, I use it see what my cat does when I'm not at home.

Not user friendly. Instructions are hard to follow. Couldnt figure out if i had everything set up right and no support help. I gave up so i cannot give a postive review.It looks well made though.

The spycam is compact and elegant. I installed it in my kid’s playroom and it serves the purpose very well. Picture quality is good though not great hence best used only for monitoring purpose. Though it is simple to use , the manual is not clear enough and had to learn the operation hard way. Overall good product for the price.

Do your research before you buy

Falsely advertised. Not sure why this product has so many great reviews. It claims to have 1080 hd recording. Not even close! The video quality is very poor! The app is not that good either. Limited options. I was excited when I got it, but my excitement soon turned into being highly disappointed. Definitely not worth $50. I returned the item.

I plan to attach this to a helmet and record skiing videos, but the limited shutter speed will likely produce ho-hum videos compared to the high-speed of an iPhone or GoPro. If I fall and trash this, well I'm only out $50 - - a lot better than being out $400. Oh, and this is way lighter than a GoPro. We'll see. The magnetic holder is nice and there are multiple options. The camera has a magnet behind the back plate. If you want to mount the camera to the ceiling or drywall, they include a small metal (iron) disk that you velcro or glue to a non-metalic surface. then the camera can be placed and easily removed from the disk. But, battery life is about 60-90 minutes, you still need near-by power.There are two WiFi modes 1.) WiFi directly to your phone which is the mode you have when you receive it or after you press the reset. This is great for using the device as a dash cam in a car, in a hotel, or out in field away from routers. You use this mode to connect your phone directly to the camera when you are within range. When connected directly to camera with phone, you can switch the camera to WiFi mode 2.) which means you log the camera into a local WiFi network. This allows you to see and control the camera from anywhere in the world with a cell phone (no laptop software to access it). In either mode, the camera is burning electricity to run a WiFi network meaning that the battery can only hold out for about 90 minutes max.

Good quality camera for its size, but the app is horrible. Doesn't support motion detection like advertised. Battery life only last 20 minutes or so. Takes time and luck to figure out all the different modes. Will be returning.
