Absolutely love this step stool. It is rock solid, no wobble at all. I am no lightweight and I feel totally safe on the third step. This stool will easily hold its stated weight rating. The legs are all the same length, unlike some other brands I've researched here. The hard rubber feet are heavy duty. I just started using the stool and so far I can see no scuff marks on the hard floors. The stool is very easy to open and close. It takes no force whatsoever. You push down on the top step to open and lock it into place. Once locked open it will not close on it's own. To close, you push down a button with your thumb and simply fold the stool. This stool is very compact and can be stored into just about any out of the way space. I use the stool for cleaning on top of kitchen cabinets and getting into the backs of our high pantry cabinets, along with any other indoor overhead task. I did some research and I am glad I settled on this item. No post purchase let down here. If you are looking for a three step that is sturdy and well built, I do not think you can do better than the quality of this stool. Five stars all the way.

A week ago I found myself eating rice & peas. Nothing wrong with rice & peas, surely, but it's not what I wanted to eat. At that point I realized, well, if I'm gonna be able to tell what's in the freezer here, I'm gonna have to change the burnt-out bulbs in the overhead kitchen light fixture. In the past I've handled such chores as many do -- with some makeshift stool or step, a convenient chair, overturned milk crate, what-have-you. But finally I realized: eating rice & peas by mistake is no way to live. So I broke down and ordered this Rubbermaid 3-Step Steel Stool. I'm happy I did. There are less expensive step-stools, sure, but this one is worth the few extra bucks. It arrived promptly, ahead of schedule, despite being shipped via UPS (who should never be trusted for residential deliveries). Made of hollow steel tubing and thick rubber steps, it's unlikely to arrive damaged, even shipped (as it was) in a snug box with no padding. It comes fully assembled, though you will need some sort of cutting instrument, scissors or a pocket knife, to remove some of the packing material. It seems plenty sturdy. It's made of steel, after all. It includes good solid rubber mounts on the legs, to prevent sliding or slipping, and to protect your flooring. There's also a small automatic latch that prevents accidental folding once the ladder is deployed. The rubber steps are grooved, so you won't lose your footing. It's more than tall enough for occasional interior household chores like changing light bulbs or hanging pictures. But it also folds compactly for storage, and is light enough that I can easily carry it in one hand. Even homeowners who need and have a full-scale ladder will find this one convenient and valuable for lesser reaches. If there's one drawback, it's the thing's appearance. The steel tubing is painted a sort of pewter-grey, and the steps and feet are dull black. It looks like a tool, something utilitarian, something that belongs in the garage, out of sight. Fortunately, it folds so easily and compactly that you can hide it away most anywhere. I'll be stashing mine in the hall closet...after I use it to change the light bulb in there, too. I don't expect there's any rice & peas lurking in my hall closet. But you never know.

I would give this folding step stool 4 1/2 stars.Very happy with how sturdy it is. Folds fairly easily. Came assembled which was nice. It appears to be well made.Several reviewers complained about 5 'globs of super glue' holding on the product label onto one of the steps. While it is a little annoying to get off, I was able to peel it off with my finger nails within a couple minutes...so no biggee. I debated between this one & the old retro "classic Grandma's combo chair/step stool" version which I remember growing up. I really wanted to get the Grandma version (partially for the benefit of my own kids) but read several negative reviews about the quality & thus safety of the modern version, & so opted for this one instead. (At least for the time being.) I do wish it had a somewhat padded top step for my young kids since they do like to sit on the top step. It is a little bit heavier than I expected but that likely ensures more stability. My goal was less dragging of the chairs from the kitchen table around the kitchen/rooms of the house...just will take a bit more muscle now. Some reviewers of stepstools mention uneven legs on the floor. I did notice that in certain positions; however attribute that to my floors not being completely level. I simply reposition it. So far, it is easy enough for my 9 y/o to maneuver. My 5 & 7 y/os like to step/sit on it as well. The steps are sized nicely. I just may consider adding some padding to the top step as we most likely will just use the bottom 2 for stepping on! :)

We've had a small ladder for years that needed to be replaced so we went with this one. It's extremely sturdy and can be easily stored. This is perfect for reaching multiple shelves in different places. I highly recommend this ladder if you're looking for something small but functional.

Sin duda es de alta calidad y robustez. Muy estable. El único detalle es que al ser fuerte, es un poco pesada. Pero si lo importante es la seguridad, vale la pena lidiar con el peso. Ojo, no es que sea muy pesada, sino que hay escaleras más livianas pero más inestables.

This is a sturdy step stool. I feel confident lifting heavy items while going up it. We use it in the walk in closet to reach the higher up areas. It is so simple to open and close as well! Great build on this

Very sturdy and it folds together nicely, it becomes very flat and compact. The handle at the top is added security which helps my balance. It's not heavy but being a senior I wouldn't want to have to carry it up and down stairs all the time. Very satisfied with the purchase.

PROS: - "Lock" latch allows the ladder to easily collapse - Handle at the top makes it easier to transport around - Feet feel sturdy CONS: - None that I can think of! General notes: I have really high cupboards at my house and this step ladder does the trick. It's easy to fold out and feels sturdy. When you want to store it, pressing on the latch easily collapses the folder. I like how it doesn't take up a lot of space and I'm able to store it in my closet against the wall.
