Worth It for Sick Fish
I know there's a lot of controversy about using salt in freshwater, but I absolutely love this. My betta has been sick for the past 2 weeks (lethargic, not eating, not swimming). I have a 2.5 gallon tank. I put a little less than the recommended amount (salt for 2 gallons). The same night, my fish was more active and he came swimming over to eat.. He's been eating and more active since I added the salt 3 days ago. He still has something going on with his eyes so I ordered medicine for that, but the salt really helped his appetite and made him feel better. If you have a sick fish, I definitely recommend getting this. It won't cure your fish, but it helped mine feel great. It's definitely worth a shot.

Good Quality
I purchases this product for my fish tank, and overall it was a good product. The packaging came in tack and it was plenty of salt for my 5 gallon fish tank. Will keep for the future tanks I set up and will be doing more research on the benefits of salt in freshwater aquariums. Recommended highly when needing to buy something online!

Pretty Good Salt
Pretty good product, I use it whenever I change out the water in my 5 Gallon and have also used it in my 15 Gallon. This will last you awhile, just follow the directions on the back and you'll be fine.

so this size worked perfect for our needs
It is a small sized container of aquarium salt as described. Not all folks agree with its need or usage. We deemed it necessary for or tank so ordered it. It arrived quickly, as pictured and as expected. We didn't need to use it to often, so this size worked perfect for our needs. The actual size is (if you need a visual) of the container is about the size of 2 small school sized milk cartons stacked on top of each other.

Helpful for Fish
I used this to treat my betta whom had severe wounds from scratching against an aquarium decor item. I did 1tsp in her five gallon tank with every water change for two weeks. Helped heal her scales, along with the frequent water changes.

Its salt. For fish. Not salted fish, but pet fish. Although, I don't think using it on some cod fillets would hurt. Haven't tried. Good for when your fish doesn't feel well. Not great for live freshwater plants, so use sparingly if you have them. It's a good price for a ton of salt that will probably last you a decade. Pretty much a must-have on your aquarium supply shelf.

Worked great. However I did not use the recommended dose. I used only 1/4 teaspoon in my 5 gallon to help clear stubborn cloudy water I was having trouble getting rid of. Box suddgested full tablespoon. I though this would shock my betta who was already suffering from swim bladder issue. This helped my tank and my fish. I just recommending a sample sized does first.
