Carrom 660.01 Hi-BOL Game

I have purchased 5 of these at least. They are lots of fun however the corners are very flimsy and break. If you take an L bracket and glue it on the corners it becomes much stronger!

Great game and great game design. Instant set up and well made.

I normally don't fault a product for shipping troubles in a review, but in this case the problem is directly related to poor packaging. I had read other reviews and still took a chance, but mine also arrived damaged. This game is made from wood and a composite material that I can't remember the name for at the moment...it isn't particle board, but is similar to a "cardboard" except it is composed of tiny wood particles. The point is that it is thin and easily punctured (but certainly durable enough for years of play if it makes it to your house intact!.) The game arrives folded in its same-sized shipping box with no additional wrapping, so any damage to the outer box very easily results in damage to the game itself. Mine arrived with a tear in the shipping box (a piece of tape had been placed over it) but when I opened the game, it had a hole punched through the game board in the same spot. The game itself is well built and loads of fun! But after seeing how it was shipped, I am certain you are just as likely to receive the game damaged as not. Just be aware. I plan to get a replacement.UPDATE: Amazon replaced the game damaged in shipping VERY quickly (3 days) and the second one arrived in perfect condition. We're having a great time with it! I realize it is designed for easy travel and that's a great feature, but I would love to also have a larger version (with balls more similar to the size of skee ball). It seems like the design could rather easily be upsized but I'm not qualified to build it. Hope someone does! In such a version, though, I think it would need to be designed for outdoor use since the larger balls could damage interior objects, walls, people, pets, etc...

We got the package and the corner was damaged and then after the first roll the ramp broke. Not happy.

The game is fun but the first game arrived with one corner broken (1/2-3/4 inch piece of wood was broken off and impacted folding/unfolding of game.) I returned it for a replacement. The replacement game came with one corner joint broken apart but all the wood intact. My child really wants the game so I will fix this with wood glue and or nails. The minimal packaging (which I liked) may be a factor in the damage. At $56 the game is too expensive to require repairs.

I gave it a four because balls are too small. It was fun to play with a while. My kids haven't touch it since.

I bought this for my wife for Christmas. She loved it. Lots of fun.

Nice / fun game for youth group . Found the balls that came with the game are slightly too small (45mm) . they sometimes slip through the wire gap. A slightly bigger 2 inch ball (50mm) works much better. Quality of the game is not great, but acceptable. Image attached - smaller red ball is the original ball that came with gameEdit: second one arrived and fell apart after taking out of the box. Corners are not connected securly . Can fix myself.
