Great heads if you don’t need resonance from your toms
I switch out different heads all the time. If you’ve ever played or heard the Evans Hydraulic heads, these aren’t quite as dead as the Hydraulic’s but they’re pretty close. Great attack, durability and fairly easy to tune. I’d recommend keeping your resonance heads pretty loose. Tune the resonance heads just enough to remove the wrinkles. As for the Aquarian batter heads, you can tune them as high as you want, as again they’re extremely durable! I suggest tuning them tight and stretch them out as much as possible for 24 hours, and then backing them down to whatever note or tuning you want. They sound much better after doing this! Good for studio playing close mic’d or for just practicing or gigs. They’re a little pricey compared to Remo or Evans equivalent heads but the quality substantiates this in my opinion. These are my first set of Equarian heads, as I’ve seen more and more drummers using them, but they are high quality heads. I recommend them for hard rock, heavy metal and prog rock. Not for jazz or light rock. Thank

Does not include snare head
The drum heads are fantastic and deliver a great sound. The product photo needs to be updated as it looks like a snare head is included in the pack when it is only the tom heads.

Quality Heads that Last Forever!
I used to be a devout and exclusively Remo drum heads player, but one day I sent the guitar player out to get me a replacement head and he came back with one of these Aquarian Heads and I was o course very skeptical. But once i put the Aquarian head on and tuned it up I was very pleasantly surprised at the tone quality, and the pitch and sustain that the heads produced. So every since then I will still use Remo heads on all my snares, but when it comes to playing power metal or classic rock or anything in between on any of my tom toms I am a dedicated Aquarian head man from hear on out! Now I know as a drummer of 25+ years that you should change your drum heads out on a regular basis, but as a working drummer playing a 10 piece kit for many many years I also know that that can get very very costly very quickly to change that many heads out in one sitting. The reason I brought that up is to tell you that for the money that I have spent over the years on drum heads I am hear to tell you that Aquarian heads will last a long long time and are very cost effective for any working drummer! Keep it Metal People \m/\m/

Punchy and versatile heads
Having to get new heads after 7 years of playing on my Remo heads, I had to make a decision on what kind of skin heads models I should purchase for my Tom toms, went with Aquarian this time I was familiar with Aquarian before hand after using the 2 ply bass head which is one of the best bass heads I have used, and I used a lot and it''s still kicking (no pun intended) so I decided to go ahead with these heads. Their 2 ply coated skins transparent definitely gives my Slingerland drum kit a vintage tone and with a little moon gel they started to sing. They are made for low tuning so they can get a punchier sound to them. I put these baby's on, tuned and seeped and boom you got a nice sounding tom, with little to no ring if you tune up right. Very versatile tom heads, should last a long time.

For that fat 80's sound!
If you like deep, fat sounding drums that don't ring all day then these Aquarian Performance II drumheads are for you! I grew up in the late 70's early 80's and these drumheads have worked the best for me at reproducing the sound I grew up with and love. They are easy to tune, and depending on playing style, will last a long time. I'm not a super heavy hitter and use a smaller stick than most (Zildjian 7A's)so for me they've lasted years! I recently purchased another set of these heads to re-skin a set of 1987 DW drums that I got out of a pawn shop, and let me tell you they sound great!

Yeah, misleading.
I love the quality and sound of these heads, 5 stars for that but I assumed from pics and a previous set I got that there was also a 14" coated snare head and there wasn't. Seems from comments that it's luck if you get 4 heads. Mine were packaged so poorly that one could easily have been lost in transport. So hey, mail carrier... Enjoy the snare head amigo.

Great Sound & Great Value!
I have been playing all Aquarian heads for a few months now including this one. I play a Gretsch Catalina Bop. This head sounds great and is easy to tune. The sound is fat and warm and excellent tuned low or high. I used to geat a lot of overtones (aka: ringing) and this head eliminates that without destroying the natural resonance of the drum.I have played just about every type of Remo and Evans out there and I have to say the Aquarians are now my absolute favorite. I highly recommend this head!

If you like your sound thick and fat, these are for you.
Switched from Evans g2 ...wow...glad I did. I like to tune my skins very low. Evans was never able to quite get there without sound dead...these tune all the way down no problem, and give me that nice thud I've been looking for.
