This product does exactly what it is meant to Simple installation and feels sturdy. I bought this to add another curtain rod in my closet for nicer clothes that I didn't want getting wrinkled by other clothes. I was able to install the rod quickly and hang clothes on it. Bonus points for it's adjustable length, if I ever have to move it I can easily reuse it.

Just arrived today and was very easy to install to an existing wood surface shelf support. It seems strong enough for the light to medium duty I will need. I would suggest they include a plastic collar or sleeve to fit over where the two poles slip into each other to make it easier to slide the hangers, but otherwise, a nice product and easy to install. Note: narrow closet (38"), with existing mounted shelf support, but drywall anchors were included.

I like that it does not require cutting to use this closet rod. It appears sturdy enough to hold average clothes. Yes, the end caps are plastic, but they do not appear flimsy. The end caps have a small tab that 'clicks' into a hole in the ends of the rod to keep it in place. The screws provided are actually a little large for their intended use, in my opinion (I used my own). I was pleased the rod stays straight as it extends and does not droop in the center. As with any adjustable length product, it will logically become slightly less sturdy the further you extend it, but I was pleased that I could not notice a difference. If you slide the two pieces in and out a lot the paint might scratch, but I cannot think of a reason to do that in the first place.In my case I used it as an inside mount curtain rod. It works well for this use also. I placed the rod through the curtain pockets. They slide easily, and it looks nice as a curtain rod.

This works great for my daughter’s small closet. Super easy to install and the hangers slide nicely. Would buy again.

I attached these to a target book shelf and voila! They easy to install, very durable and would purchase again!

Issue is plastic wall brackets which aren't going to be the sturdiest. Also, I didn't need to make this stretch too far, but the metal rod isn't very sturdy either, so unless you plan on only hanging light stuff, or not extending it too far, I would go with something else.
