The media could not be loaded.  First off, let me just say I never leave reviews, but for this product, I am making an exception. My hot tub is over 15 years old, so as many of you know, any part you try to replace is not made anymore, and is “no longer in stock”. My topside controller went out, and even if I could find a replacement controller (which I couldn’t), how would I know it wasn’t really the internal control board. So after a lot of thought, I decided to go with a spaguts.com package which came with the topside controller, control panel, and heater. The cost was about $500, which is only a little more than the cost of a topside controller by itself. Installation was pretty easy. Probably only took a few hours to remove my old internal controller and put the new cables on my two pumps. After turning on the power, pumps were not turning on, but a quick call to spaguts.com customer service and I was patched through to technical assistance, and they were able to walk me through a diagnosis. Turned out to be a few cables needed to be connected to a different part of the board, plus I installed my neutral wire on the wrong terminal on my 2-speed pump. They do require a “field” configuration, so don’t get discouraged, just call them. They are super friendly and knowledgeable. My old hot tub works perfect now, and I could not be happier.

Warranty was 30 days return installed on 33rd day spa guts made me diagnose problem with online supportdetermined faulty unit had to spend $43.00 to get label from them and $43.00 to have it repaired and sent back. Repair took 6 weeks. Bought new unit from Spa Depot $30.00 cheaper and much newer unit. Unit was defective from day one nasty people answer the phone was told read the blank warranty. They must buy later models from left over stock.

New spa $3500 -- Spa guts NOWHERE near that 😄 Spa Guts saved me a fortune! Easy to assemble and it now runs like a charm again. It also has all different light colors... That was a nice surprise 🎉

I really wanted to give them 4 stars, but they had a bit of a racket going here..So FYI here is the hustle, you get an awesome machine at a great price, but no instructions. These crafty guys at Spa Guts want to charge you $10.95 for a freaking PDF. That is Spa Gutsy..... I can understand charging for a print copy of the instructions, or perhaps a live consultant but to down load a pdf, thats a big pile of hair and leaves pulled from my spa filter. If you want to shake me down for another 11 bucks put it in the original price. My toaster oven came with instructions, sunflower seeds come with instructions, so why cant you include a manual with your product?

Item arrives we’ll packaged with all the accessories needed for installation. I contacted customer service (via email) and received a call to assist in obtaining the correct replacement controller. Unfortunately my controller was too old to repair, but they were able to help me prior to and after purchase - making sure I had it connected properly!

Hardly needed to even think about it. The installation was a snap...just look at the schematic and plug in the connectors. The factory has most of the setup already done. I replaced a 25 year old spa control in an hour.

Not as advertized. Circ pump circuit is only 110v and there is no 240v option.
