Earth grounding made easy.
This worked perfectly to ground a small off grid solar setup in a barn. The 2000 watt inverter chassis needed to have a ground, and this did the trick. I used a sledge hammer to drive it in and the soil was moist enough to make it pretty easy. Satisfying.

Lightening rods, ground install
Easy install. Even with the ground being rocky. Able to get to the full depth.

Works well for my electric fence!
This seems like a high quality grounding rod. Drove it deep into the ground with no problem and it does a great job of conducting electricity. I was worried that I would need multiple grounds, but this one did the trick. The bolt at the top made it easy to attach the ground wire from the fence generator. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for!

A little bent
OK, no big deal, but it didn't arrive in the greatest of shape. First, it was wrapped in tough plastic that was very difficult to remove. It had a patch of orange flakey gluey stuff near the bottom; I have no idea what it was, but had to be cleaned off with some effort. Finally, the rod was bent about 15 degrees towards the bottom. But I did get it unwrapped, and I was able to clean off the gluey stuff with Mostenbocker's Lift Off, and bending the rod back to approximate straightness with a foot and my hands was not difficult. Besides, the bent part will be underground anyway. The rod's diameter is 10mm or about 3/8" so one should take care pounding it into the ground as not to bend it. I would not recommend this ground rod for a situation where it carried any current on an ongoing basis because that could cause the plating to fail. I use mine for a shortwave radio ground.

Great when you need a good ground system.
Easy installation just make sure that the ground is not frozen or totally dry, this makes installation a real job, we had snow on the ground for a month and then when the snow finally melted it went into the ground very easily. Nice to have a good ground on a Ham Radio station, this did it.

It’s a rod of copper
Did the job. Very solid and took a pounding to get it in the ground.
