High temp ceramic fiber board for up to 2300 F. Using in nickel chromium coil wire heated oven to create barrier behind coils to.protect control electronics for powder coat oven. Very easy to cut, as advertised, with simple utility knife. Fibers are friable (break apart/become air born), so be prepared to sweep up with HEPA vacuum or wipe surfaces impacted with wet towels to minimize.exposure. Contain fibers, wear dust mask. Don't handle the board roughly as it will break apart and disintegrate readily as is typical with ceramic fiber heat resistant boards. Smell at startup as stated until board heated and organic matter burns off. Good value and performs as advertised.

This thing was packaged incredibly tight. Worked great and easy to work

My husband cut with utility knife to the right size for our wood stove. Burn every day for heat source and this has held up well. I recommend it. Way cheaper than buying from wood stove store.

Used it to insulate the inside of my wood fired oven door. I have to be careful not to chip pieces off but it works perfectly otherwise. I’m now able to maximize heat retention in the oven to bake bread

The board was damaged during shipment. Simond Store was quick to fix the problem. Excellent customer service.

shipping broke it into two pieces - I was able to make it work. But you might not if you need it as a single piece.
