Q: Is this any better then just putting good Manueka honey on your wound? And why if so?

Aside from being sterilized, Wound Honey has Aloe Vera and Panthanol (Vitamin B). These are not only good for wound healing in their own right, but thicken up the honey to a texture that's much more usable. Manuka honey from your grocery story will run and leave a mess. I haven't had experience with it for this particular thing, but have use the manuka honey on open wounds and put a bandage over them and they heal very quickly. Don't see why it wouldn't work for your problem as the honey is a healer - (one problem might be that you really can't bandage the lips and you'd probably eat it off!)
