cute and does the job
When my doctor suggested getting a humidifier for my cough, I struggled with the idea, not wanting yet another thing to clutter my place. But when I discovered the Crane animal humidifiers (and that they are filterless per doctor's instructions), I was happy to have a "fun" option. The mechanisms of the machine are simple to use (fill up the water tank, and turn the knob to the desired humidity level) and it did make it easier to sleep and breath in my apartment. While I do wish that I could set this humidifier on the floor (instructions recommend that it be placed higher than 2ft from the floor, although I'm not sure what would happen if it wasn't), I haven't tried because I'm not willing to chance my hardwood floors.I also bought the filter for the product, although I'm not sure that I really need it given I use filtered water in my humidifier. After the filter's life cycle runs out, I'll try the filter with just filtered water and see if it makes a difference. Will update this review accordingly. Has anyone used this humidifier with aromatherapy methods?Overall, the product has delivered on the metrics of easy-to-use and easing my health issues, so I can't complain. I would recommend it to anyone who needs a humidifier and especially for those want something with a bit of personality to it.

THE BEST! Not just for kids!
I have purchased many humidifiers over the years. This one is the best, is reasonably priced, and looks cute to top it off! We purchased the frog for our daughter's room 2 years ago. It is easy to fill, easy to clean (vinegar and water every couple days), has automatic shut off when the water runs out, and no filter. The on/off lights are kind of bright, but I put a piece of black duct tape over the lights (like another review recommended). We've been using my daughter's for about two years with no problems. I decided to get a new tank this year. It was getting a little yucky, (which I thought was completely reasonable from heavy daily use for 2 years). We purchased a replacement tank online for around $15; it shipped fast and worked great. Crane also has excellent customer service...when I cracked a brand new tank, they sent me a new one for free! When it came time to buy one for our master bedroom, I compared and shopped around (I wasn't sure I wanted a cartoon-like animal in my bedroom). We even bought another brand, but it was way more expensive, leaked, and was super loud. We took it back, and ended up getting the Crane Panda. IT WORKS GREAT, even in an adult bedroom!

Works great, but LED is like a night light
This works great. I got the frog version about 10 years ago and it still works well too. My only complaint is the green LED “on” light on the front is incredibly bright. The first night I used it, my baby woke up crying and when I walked in, the little green light was so bright I could have sat in a chair and read a book next to the humidifier. I put a piece of electrical tape over the light which makes it a little less cute but solves the problem.

Mostly pros
Pros: Cute! My daughter loves this humidifier. She loves bears in general and the colors match my decor. It's very quiet at night. It's easy to refill and clean.Cons: I don't like the green light when it's on, which I cover up with a dark shirt in front of the humidifier. I also don't like the loud clicking sound that it makes when I turn it off. I'm always afraid it's going to wake up my child. Finally, I wish the white bear humidifier had a white power cord. It would just make it look better overall.

Looks Cool, That's It.
When I say it looks cool, that doesn't mean it looks like a polar bear. It doesn't. But sure, it looked like some kind of cute something on my newborn's dresser. There's one pro. The second pro is that it works like gangbusters--almost too well on high. And now for everything else. There is nothing convenient or easy about cleaning this beast of a multi-part humidifier, and it builds up mold and mildew in what seems like minutes. It is suggested you clean it every day or at least once a week, which is super fun with all the sleep you're already not getting. The top white part (face, ears where ultrasonic air comes out) is just that--a top. A loose, empty dome that just rests on the unit and collects massive amounts of moisture and, eventually, mold and mildew (the insides of the ears just get black). The clear tank part of the unit builds up filth in all sorts of impossible to reach crevices, so you're basically running this thing with some mold in it at some point. It comes with no tools to help clean in these hard-to-reach places at all, btw. Oh, and no matter how many time you rinse it out, there is a place inside where you can watch a white plastic part growing more mildew and mold by the day. It is unreachable with any tool. The bottom part, the "feet", is the working electric part, and needs to be drained and cleaned frequently, or the water starts growing floating filth and other nasty things. And again, plenty of near-impossible places to reach to clean that grow mildew and blackish mold. (This whole unit excels at growing brown-to-blackish mold). And to piggyback on some other reviews, after a while the motor begins to make a low whirring sound. This was used for half of a winter, and after spending $60 on it, will be tossed with more joy than one can imagine.Resist the temptation to shell out bucks for these cutesy units. Get a more practical one that can actually be cleaned.

Small, effective, no BPA
This is cute, works well and is small enough that I have to rinse and clean it often. While I thought that might be a hassle, humidifiers really need to be cleaned regularity so when the one gallon is used in about two days, I rinse it and then the next time I clean everything with a white vinegar solution. I also purchased the filter to use with hard water and it seems to be working OK. I later wondered if the plastic was BPA free and read somewhere that it is -- what a nice bonus! I use this in a bedroom at night with the door cracked open.I'm very happy with this little white panda humidifier.

So cute
I'm satisfied. I haven't dealt with any mold but I haven't had it long. It's definitely getting the job done.
