The price is really good, I was thinking this would be great for friends who like stronger coffee. The Espresso is quite good. The other flavors are ok. Their customer service kindly reached out to me to be sure that I was a satisfied customer. I am impressed enough to up the review marks. They did not ask or even hint for me to do so. In my quest for a full, rich cup of K-cup coffee, I've found a winner. This brew seems fresh and makes a strong, full-bodied cup that stands above the rest. There are see-the-bottom-of-the-cup pods that are---to me at least---the worst. Coffee that looks like tea isn't worth drinking except in an emergency. Most pod coffees seem to be in the middle---enough body and flavor to drink, but non-descript, and lacking any real character. Some are a little stale, some very mild, some burned and bitter tasting. A lot of "mehhh" coffees are out there. This one, though, stands out as really good. Strong and rich, but smooth enough to avoid that bitter burned flavor common to many coffee house blends. It is more on the bold side and some might like a little mellower finish (like Duncan Donuts original---one of my favorites), but I'm happy with a really sturdy cup of coffee and this one delivers. I don't taste a big difference between the varieties, the differences seeming mostly in the darkness of the roast which I would place in order from lightest to darkest tasting: Breakfast Blend, Donut Shop, Columbian and Italian Roast. I anticipated the Italian Roast as being a little dark and bitter, but it actually managed to be dark and smooth and is really good. I like them all, with breakfast blend probably being my favorite. The packaging is also very neat and attractive, speaking to attention to detail and quality. Bestspresso Coffee is a pleasant find all the way around. Bottom line: if this was the only coffee I could have in the house for a year, I'd be more than happy with it.

Update: I'm updating my review to reflect my further thoughts on the product, though I am leaving my original review below. I am almost done with my second box of 12 pods from my order, and I actually very much like the italian and columbian roasts, they are smooth and don't have the bitter burnt flavor I get from other brands. I don't ordinarily drink dark roasted coffee, but I find this brand to be quite pleasant and enjoyable even drinking it black. I also will report that I have had no further issues with the pods exploding so the Italian pods I got might have just been a bad batch, as I have had no issues since moving on to the Columbian pods. The company also reached out to me to offer a refund, but I have refused it because I am using the product I purchased, and I'm bumping my review up to 4 stars for the good customer service. Original Review: The first impressions did not go well for me with this product. I am on my third pod of the Italian roast so far, which is actually pleasant for a dark roast coffee. However, the first of the pods I tried to brew exploded and made a huge mess. Now, I do use a cheap Mainstays coffee brewer I got at wal-mart that's compatible with Keurig Pods, and it's worked flawlessly with all of the other pods that I have tried, but I'm not going to rule out that it's part of the problem with these. I think the issue is that I tried to brew too big of a cup, and these pods are just poorly made for it. I don't mind my coffee being on the weak side if I can have a big cup of it, and I usually brew 14 oz per pod, but I think the heat and long brew time was just too much for these. I did a smaller brew of 8 oz, and that worked fine, so I tried it again also at 8 oz, and that one also worked. Not my ideal situation, but the coffee is pretty good, so I'll muddle through, but I probably won't buy this brand again until they start making their pods like everyone else does.

So, I received these yesterday and as soon as I did I decided to try one out. I am a Donut Shop flavor gal and it was my first choice. Let me say that I did read extensive reviews and questions on this and other brands before I decided on this one, mainly because of the price point. Well the first cup was a disaster! The coffee maker dribbled out maybe a tablespoon of lightly colored water. I raised the lever and tried again with the same pod. Nope, coffee maker wouldn't have it. It decided to turn itself off the two following times of taking and raising/lowering the lever. At this point the descale light has also decided to make it's presence known. By now, the coffee maker (or my own stubbornness) has made a mess. I own a Kuerig Classic coffee maker, by the way. I am thinking that I just wasted my money at this point (I had already de-boxed 4 of the k-cups). So then I remembered some of the other reviews on a different brand saying that the k-cup needed to be punctured on the bottom before it would work properly (no clue as to why except for maybe a different kind of material is used). So after I cleaned up the mess I decided to try again. I placed the k-cup pod into the machine and instead of closing the lever I took both thumbs and pushed the pod down into the coffee maker. Snap! Pulled the lever down, selected my size, and BINGO! It worked like a charm. The coffee is good. I will say that it is a robust, strong brew so if you're not into that, I'd look elsewhere. For the money though, in my opinion, you can't beat it. I had a cup of the Breakfast Blend this morning and it was as good as the Donut Shop. I'll be trying the other blends later. Just be sure that you push down with your thumbs on the pod in the machine before lowering the level and you shouldn't have any trouble.

All I can say is that every flavor in this brand is FABULOUSLY DELICIOUS and a great value! I hope Amazon isn’t going to raise the price because I just love this coffee!!! I’m so happy I took a chance and ordered it even though I was not familiar with this brand!!!

The price is right, the flavor mix is rightWe have been subscribed for a couple of years. Recently (the last 2 months) the "Italian" cups are failing- blowing up in the Keurig and dumping grinds and coffee everywhere. I hope manufacturer sees this and rectifies.

I have been a loyal Caza Trail and Victor Allen coffee customer for years. I saw really good reviews for Bestpresso and decided to give it a try. I ordered the variety pack. My first impression was the packaging is so cute. I know, that doesn't mean anything but the attention to detail on the outer box, the individual boxes and the K Cups themselves made me want to try every one the the four brews one after the other. I had two cups, one of each flavor over 2 mornings. I really had no idea what I had been missing! I went from a good cup of coffee to a delicious cup of coffee. Each blend is uniquely different, but equally flavorful. I love how the light roast blends consistently brew a dark, rich color without being overly strong. I was so used to my light roasts being a lighter, warmer shade of brown, so I assumed the Bestpresso coffee wouldn't work for me at first glance, but each blend is perfectly balanced. I never liked any brand of donut shop blend until I tried Bestpresso's blend. It's hands down my favorite of any flavor of any brand. Yes, I have a favorite but this is the only variety box where each and every K Cup is not just used, but savored and enjoyed even if it's not the favorite.

The top of theses pods are plastic that stretches when hot and leaks coffee ground during brewing. You get a mouthful of coffee grounds in every cup. Other pod makers use aluminum to cover the top which does not stretch and leaks during brewing. This is a design defect. These pods are useless and makes a huge mess. I have to use another filter (pour over) to make it drinkable. I do not recommend this product. Bestpresso is still experimenting to learn how to package properly. What a waste of good coffee! -Update Unfortunately, I will have to stick to this low rating and do not buy recommendation. I have been using a pour-over paper filter to keep the grounds out of my coffee. What a pain. Found another major defect (coffee was ground too fine and completely plugs up the inside filter), forcing the coffee to stop brewing in the middle and the top of the pod to explodes at the end. In fact, once finished, there is no coffee ground left inside the pod (all in my cup). These are all defects and should be recalled because they simply do not work. I strongly recommend that you stick with well known vendors like Barista Prima, Green Mountain, Starbucks, Tully, etc.
