Retro-Bit Tribute 64 USB for PC, Switch, Mac, Steam, RetroPie, Raspberry Pi - Forest Green

I like this controller because of the way that the analogue stick is made.The original N64 analogue stick gets stiff because of it's design but I know this one will not get the same problem.Every button feels great, including the top Left and Right Z buttons on the top of the controller, sure I had to get used to it a little bit but it wasn't an issue at all for me.This doesn't feel cheap when I use it which is an issue with another USB N64 controller I ordered from another USB controller maker, this controller does not feel cheap to me.I recommend this controller for the price, great analogue stick, good buttons and is easy to just plug it into your PC let it detect it, then configure your emulator controls in your emulator, then you can start playing.Thank you to Retro-Bit for allowing me to send back with the N64 controller that actually plugs into a real N64 that I ordered by mistake, to be able to order the USB version that I originally was meant to order.

After using a cheap USB N64 controller I went into this with low expectations, but I was very pleasantly surprised, the joystick is extremely accurate with both direction and movement acceleration just like the old controls for the actual console, if you're running an emulator I can't recommend this highly enough.

While you could probably make due, it isn't really customisable to N64 emulators. I was using retroarch. With no way to set the buttons correctly.

Il Tribute 64 è un controller moderno ispirato al modello originale per Nintendo 64 .Esiste sia per n64 che usb per pc . Io ho solo quello per pc visto che gioco su emulatore .Allora il pad non è ingombrante come l'originale , ma non è neppure piccolo come il giapponese costosissimo della Hori . Diciamo che il tribute come dice il nome , è un mix di questi 2 . L'originale ed il moderno Hori . Quello che mi piace è che monta un controllo analogico moderno e non quella bacchettina imprecisa del vecchio controller . Per il resto se vogliamo trovargli un difetto il Dpad è troppo vicino ai tasti . Si rischia di cozzare . Si il Dpad è invertito rispetto il controller nintendo . Però è anche vero che i giochi su n64 che utilizzano il dpad sono una minoranza . Funziona sia in Direct input che Xinput . La qualità è più che decente . Del resto è Retrobit . Sono soddisfatto

Pour une utilisation sur le Nintendo Switch Online, ce produit ne m'a absolument pas convaincu.Il agit comme une manette Pro avec impossibilité de remapper les touches, contrairement à son doublon sans-fil qui, lui, peut être remapper par une mise à jour du firmware, et vu qu'il manque le stick de droit d'une manette pro qui permet d'émuler le C-PAD, c'est impossible de jouer à Ocarina of Time, par exemple.C'est dommage, la manette semblait réellement tenir sa promesse pourtant. Elle est agréable en main et les boutons sont assez réactif.

The analog stick on these controllers is too sensitive for n64 games. The range doesn't match well from center to max gate. This results in very jerky and quick movements in games. The d-pad is also horrendously bad on both this version and the wireless one. When playing New Tetris and you press to the sides, you will very often get incorrect input up or down. This is devastatingly bad since an incorrect up input results in an instant push down of the tetris block. This makes it almost impossible to enjoy that game with this d-pad. Other games that are d-pad only will suffer in the same way and some more than others. The other buttons are work well enough. This controller is way overhyped considering how flawed it is. The redeeming factor is the price.

Optik/HaptikErstmal muss ich sagen das das Design vom Controller sehr an dem des Horipads angelehnt ist was nicht schlecht ist.Alles sieht gut aus und fühlt sich gut an. Die Knöpfe und auch der Joystick sind angenehm und fühlen sich in keinster Weise billig oder Schwammig an.Für Leute mit großen Händen könnte eventuell der Controller jedoch ein wenig zu klein sein da er echt nicht so groß ist wie vlt die Bilder es aussehen lassen.Leistung:Den Controller angeschlossen und er wurde auch erkannt aber als ich in Mupen 64 den Kontroller einstellen wollte ging aber nichts.Durch ein wenig Suchen hatte ich rausgefunden das der Controller einen D-Input als auch einen X-Input Modus besitzt dieser ist durch zusammen halten des oberen und rechten C-Knopfes für 5 sek auswählbar. Nachdem ich dies gemacht habe lief alles perfekt. Was das Spielen angeht alles war perfekt und es gab keine Probleme.In der Anleitung steht auch drinne das der Controller an der Ps3 und Switch ebenfalls nutzbar ist was ein großes Plus mit sich gibt.Fazit:Ein sehr schöner Controller welcher sehr gut an das Orginal von Hori rankommt und für jeden der viel mit N64 Emulation zu tun hat einfach ein muss ist.

This is a tribute reproduction of the old Hori N64 controller. I've only played games with it for a bit, but the controller needs to be a bit wider in my opinion, as it's slightly uncomfortable as is. Yes, that's what the original controller was like, but why not take after other modern controllers that have gone through decades of testing for various controller designs? With the current design, my thumbs end up rubbing against each other, and I have to position my trigger fingers hanging over the buttons so that I'm pressing them with the middle of my fingers (otherwise I have to use a "claw" positioning. I'll try Retro Fighters' N64 controller next, which has the more modern controller design.Pic related for a size comparison with an Xbone controller.
