Ten Rules of the Birthday Wish

What a cute book! This book was/is very engaging for my neighbors 4 year old daughter. It turned into a check list of sorts for her! Buy it!

A wonderful tradition to start with your little birthday love every year. The perfect way to celebrate in a classroom setting as well as to honor the birthday kiddo. Colorful, engaging illustrations with witty banter. A joy to read aloud with informative and clever writing. There are all different animals in their habitats or in human settings for each birthday rule. Rules that I know personally make a birthday a grand celebration. As it should be for a birthday to remember.Certain animals can’t follow certain rules because of their physical attributes, like a rhino’s horn popping the balloons. Also, rule No 7, cannot take a deep breath as a pufferfish because we all know how that will turn out.Ends with a sweet bear, tucked into bed, going off to dream of his birthday wish, smiling and peaceful. “…your wish coming true.”

This book chronicles 10 cute rules about the birthday wish, and teaches about animals while doing it. It is sweet and funny with amazing illustrations. Just generally a super cute book! I got it for an elementary teacher friend of mine for her bday, and she and the class all love it.

We've purchased one for many of our friends and make sure to read it before each of our kids' birthdays.

I've read this book every year with my son for his birthday! 8 years later and he still loves it. It's beautifully written and illustrated.

The illustrations are adorable. The story carries the counting 1-10 theme throughout. I ordered 2, and so glad I did. They will make the perfect gift for any 1st birthday.

I have looked for years for the best birthday book to read... this is it. It is funny and sweet, nice and short, and all age groups enjoy it. We will be reading this every birthday for years to come.
