Absolutely great product! My kids have Kindles that had wiggly ports, out of warranty, and difficult to charge. These work wonderfully because you leave it in the device and only connect the magnet. Gives a good charge every time. Wish I had seen these years ago! Will buy for other devices.

I was sick and tired of breaking USB ports on my devices these magnet quick release cables are a necessity for a bull in a china shop like me. Now the cable breaks away and the hardware does not go flying or get a stressed USB port.I have them on my IPHONE, IPAD, PS4 controlers, Nintendo switch controlers, my Blue tooth speakers, my CPAP cleaner USB port. Anything I have with MICRO USB, USB2.0 or Iphone standard i use it.

The reason for the 2 stars is because one of the cables came damaged. The other 2 work great but I wanted the 3 so i would not have to worry about taking a cable everywhere I went. Now I am down one cable and will have to either unplug the dongle to use my standard cables or I will need to transport one of the cables to and from my vehicle to work.As far as the performance for the item, it is working a lot better than I originally expected. I had already transfered my Galaxy S8 out of the LifeProof case I was using beliving the dongle would not fit in the case. When I dropped my phone yesterday (2/13/19) and the screen protector cracked and fell off, I put my phone back in the LifeProof case until I had a chance to order a new screen protector. To my surprise, the dongle fit! I can open and close the charge port cover without having to take the dongle out. This item exceeded my expectations in this factor. Now, just need to see if I can get a replacemet for the cable that came damaged.(Update 2/13/2019)I emailed NetDotbasics yesterday afternoon and by that evening I received a response requesting a picture of the damaged cable. I sent the picture this morning and hopefully I hear back soon. Due to the prompt response, I increased my overall rating to 3 stars and depending on the outcome from the most recent message to NetDotbasics will determine what I change my overall rating in the future.(Updated 2/14/19)The customer service team offered to replace the item or give me a 1/3 refund for the damaged cable. I chose to go the refund route due to the fact I am not certian I will be at my current location in 2-3 weeks. That is the length of time I was told it would take to receive the replacement as it had to come from China. While I am upgrading my review, I am only upgrading it to 4 stars. If the customer service team told me the replacement would arrive within one week I would have given them 5 stars. Due to the hassle of having to deal with the damaged cable and length of time I would be without the cable (plus the fact I am not certian I will even be at my current address) I cannot give this the full 5 stars.When dealing with the customer service people, I give them 5 stars for their prompt responses and willingness to attempt to fix the problem with thier product.

Durability: I bought 3, of the three. Two performed as expected and one provides a lesser quality connection that charges slower. Of the other two, the durability of one is noticeably decreased.The cable didnt have the magnet strength to hold up the weight of the cable in countless scenarios. Using it in the car was a particularly annoying place where the charger would frequently unplug.Finally, these cables are about $6 each, for that value, an Amazon basics cable is way better quality.Take it from the first review, at least on my Amazon, these sound a lot better than they are.Think, why would Amazon and Samsung not think about this. Because they did and it sucks.

I bought these for the simplicity of connecting quickly and to save wear on the plugs. They worked great for a while. But the first quit working in a month. The second, came loose at the end before the end of 2nd month of use. The one in my car remains stationary and I always disconnect and stick to the mounting bracket, so very little movement. It started losing power last week. I noticed it would go in and out of power with little vibration from the car. So, I started moving the cord a bit. There's a broken connection in the wire and the least amount of movement causes a break inside. Very disappointed in this product. I expected this with conventional cords because of the constant tugging and moving on connecting. With these magnetics, there is very little pressure put on the cable and I expected to get more than a couple of months use.

Sounded and is a very good idea. Having a "quick release/connect" feature is great. The magnetic connection is very strong and is reversible. No need to fumble trying to get proper alignment for charging port and cable. My concern was you only get one magnetic clip for Micro USB, C, or iPhone per cord. This had a 3 pack so if you have more than 3 devices needing the "permanent" magnetic clip inserted then you'll have to order more clips for additional devices. OR, you'll be attempting to remove clip from one device and inserting it into another device. The clips are very strong so you'll need something to pry it out each time out of the device. When I went to retrieve the clip out of my phone to insert into my tablet the shroud covering the clip came off. Without the shroud properly attached to clip your clip will not seat correctly in other devices. I would of given this 5 stars if I only had one device or 3 per the included cables. We have more than 2 phones, 3 tablets, and misc. other devices that require "fast charging". The "info" describing this cable/clip isn't that clear on the removal and insertion of multiple devices. It merely recommends leaving the clip inserted. Now I know why, sadly. I returned product and ordered stable ended fast charging cables. Also be aware that you'll need the fast charging power adaptors (not included). If you use the 2.1V 1amp chargers it won't be fast charging even with the fast charging cables.
