Worth the higher cost
Bought as a gift for my husband. This product does the job and smells great. It doesn't smell like honey & leather though, possibly a mild coconut smell? Feels more premium and worth the extra money.

People's noses will thank you! Your beard will too!
First off this is a fantastic smelling product, I love the scent. It's not an especially "manly scent" whatever the heck that means, but why would you care, who'd want to smell too manly anyway? This is clean, fresh, sweet and alluring and I haven't met anyone who doesn't like it yet!Second off this is a beard balm, and it definitely reduces skin redness and itching that can come with growing a beard, so again I'm happy with that. It also offers a slight hold moreso than an oil, for example.Price is perhaps a little expensive when you look at what it actually is, and how quickly you can use it with a medium to large beard. It's wax, oil etc and a scent. For the amount you get (50ml not the advertised 60ml on amazon??) It seems maybe a touch pricey for the volume.Overall, I really do quite like it, and I think you will probably like it too. It works (maybe not as softening as a good beard oil is) but I will definitely continue to use it, and I may even buy it again after trying out some other similar products (they don't smell as nice as this one does so far though, eww)I mean honestly, I'd buy this just for the scent, but combined with having to purchase and use other products (moustache wax for strong hold, and oil for a real deep conditioning) it will take a good glass of wine or two to make me realistically decide to buy it solely for the scent. But if I don't find another balm I like I'll probably still be back, as it does provide some benefits with the anti dryness and anti itch qualities and slight hold for neatness, and delicious smell. If you're easy going, and not too vain, and are just going to use one product for your facial hair to condition it I thoroughly recommend it be this one though {Edit: actually I now recommend their oil, if just using one product, as I've now tried the Cedar Wood and Lime Oil and it's fab!} But Everyone you meet will notice how nice you smell and their noses will definitely thank you for your presence whichever of the two products you choose. Seriously!Edit: I bought more along with the Cedar Wood and Lime Beard Oil they do, too. I couldn't resist, so much nicer smelling than similar products from other brands!

A Not so New Convert
I've had a beard since I was 15 years old, my care regime has consisted of a day wash or shower in warm water and towel dry; a comb out occasionally and a cut when I get to the point when I'm starting to strain my food. For me, a beard has always been more camouflage rather than a feature and when you suffer from chronic shaving rash as I do, it is the only solution. (I have been clean shaven for short periods in the past.) I tend to wear mostly dark colours and a great deal of black, for someone as fashion ignorant as myself it is the easiest way to coordinate, but it also shows up every mark and half way through the day I was noticing a halo ring on my top below my beard, it was dry skin. I asked a few similarly bearded friends and one of them said 'Have you tried beard balm'. Short answer 'No, what's that?' 'I'll send you the link, it'll help'. A bit of reading later and I took the plunge, I was a bit disappointed when the product turned up as it looks so much larger on the site but I have to say it lasts a phenomenally long time, I've used this product every day for the last two months and still have nearly half the tin left. The balm is hard too the touch but using your thumbnail to scoop out a small amount and rubbing it between your palms ensures it is the right consistency to apply to your beard. When you apply it work with the grain of your beard to get the best results. The fragrance is great, I went for the Cedarwood & Lime, it's strong enough to last most of the day but subtle enough that it doesn't overpower everything else. Using it has certainly solved my beard halo and given me a bit of a kick start with regard to looking after my appearance a little better which has always been a low priority. At first I was very sceptical, I also thought that it was too much of a faf, but my morning routine hasn't really changed all that much and my beard looks and feels so much better and as a consequence so do I! (My wife likes the new fragrance too so that's a bonus.) I'm happy I took the plunge and tried something new, sometimes a small change and taking a little better care of yourself is all you need......Update:Re-ordered, still the same great product I've been using for the last three months, same great fragrance too. (Was tempted to try one of the other fragrances but I like the Cedarwood & Lime and when I find something I like I tend to stick with it)
