Placed under my dad, it allows me to gently reposition or turn him without strain or discomfort for either of us. The pad’s handles are sturdy and well-placed, giving me excellent leverage. Purchase these when the ‘people mover’ pads supplied by hospice would slip and we would have to layer two of them to help our mother sit up in bed or roll her over. With this we only had to use one. The quality is good and it is washable. I would not describe it as soft, but it is not itchy or uncomfortable. The best part are the handles. These alone made it worth the purchase. Our mother was 5’3” and weighed about 125 lbs and we were not worried about the pad ripping or tearing.

Precisely what we needed to position my Mom in bed. With this positioning pad, one person can manage scooting her sideways, scooting up in the bed, and rolling slightly to put pillows under hips and shoulders to control bed sores.
