These things are definitely designed for gamers. Very handy to work with. For making music, gaming, overall it's nice to have an extra slot. These are heavy duty and work really well. I've used them for a few years now. But whatever you do don't put them on a cheap desk. I'm warning you these things are heavy and your cheap desk will get crushed by them. You need something substantial to hook them into. They will hold your PC and your monitor just fine as long as you have a desk that can hold up to the pressure and weight

This is actually a dual monitor stand with an adapter to allow one of the arms to be used for a laptop. The adapter works great and can be mounted on either the right or left arm. Although the specifications say that maximum laptop size is 15.6 inches, I have been using it with a 17.3 inch laptop with no problem. However, any larger than 17.3 would not work with the brackets used to hold the laptop in place. I am using a 24" monitor which fits without problem. Mounting is easy since both the laptop and monitor have quick release plates.Overall it was very well designed and easy to install with the main clamp screw on top and not on the bottom of the desk. I have been using it for several months and it is quite sturdy. The arms both have cable management channels which are easy to use.Overall I would strongly recommend this product for either its stated use for a laptop/monitor combo or for two monitors.

Had to rig the VESA plate and laptop holder to lower the laptop as the arm didn't quite adjust low enough, but the arms have worked well. Overall, a good value.

The directions and assembly of this particular monitor stand is nice and easy, with the sparse directions being more than enough to get things together. The adjustable tension is nice and fairly easily adjusted, but could be improved by not requiring an allen wrench to do so. The VESA mount quick detach makes attaching the mounting hardware to your monitor easy, allowing it to then drop into (and click into place) the mounting arm.The mount allows for the monitor to swing 90 degrees (in either direction, for full 180 degree of movement) to reorient your monitor. Also to note is the monitor mount attaches to the laptop tray, so I can remove the tray to use the same rig for dual monitors if I change things in the future.The adjustment of the clamp from the top is great, but like all clamp from rear options, it leaves some to be desired. The great part about this rig was it also came with the adjustment to allow for a deeper shelf/desktop, and I just used those parts to mount via a hole I drilled in my desk for just this purpose. I didn't have to purchase any other items to accomplish this (but I already owned a drill and drill bit). This may not be the best solution for some, but it resulted in a rock solid fitting of the monitor stand to the desk.

Very straight forward setup with detailed directions. I liked that tools were included and can be stowed in the back of the mount for quick adjustments. Mount is sturdy and cable management is very clean.Almost perfect functionally, however there is some play between the bracket that mounts to the rear of the monitor/laptop tray and the shoe it slots into on the arm. All articulation points are flawless after minor adjustment so I’m 100% positive it is not loose tension.I still gave it 5 stars because once set it stays put, but more importantly it really freed up desk space which is why I got it. I’d buy it again.

Sturdy and easy to adjust. Currently using it for my 24 inch monitor and 15 inch work laptop. Clamp attachment has soft padding at the top, which is good for my bamboo desk top, but the bottom was just metal, not a big deal though. The arms are a little thicker than the looked in the pics on Amazon but it makes sense since they have to have space to allow you to run the cables through, and it really works well for that.Also, love the fact that they used a standard VESA plate attachment for the laptop piece, that way if you just want to use it for 2 monitors you dont have to buy anything extra - no proprietary crap to hassle with.Overall, I'm very satisfied and would definitely recommend this product.

This dual monitor arm works wonderfully with either your laptop or another display. I've used it for almost two years with a 34" ultrawide and a 24" monitor. I did test it with my laptop, but I prefer to dock my laptop. What impressed me most is the amazing customer service and support that I got from the manufacture. One of the mounts lost the ability to turn my monitor from landscape to portrait. Not only did they answer my emails very quickly, they worked with me to find a solution and actually shipped me two replacement parts. When I buy my next monitor arm, it will definitely be from AVLT.
