A Solid Introduction to Crystal
This book is aimed at programmers who want to pick up Crystal quickly, and it works well for that. The authors assume that many of their readers will be coming from Ruby, but don't assume that will always be true, so when they compare Crystal to Ruby they make sure to quickly explain the Ruby example first. The only problem is that it really needed to be about three or four times as long to fully cover all the language features and the standard library. It's a quick read and gets you on your way but it's a book for learning the language, not a reference manual. And Crystal's online documentation could do with some work. But it is clearly written and well-organised and if you are familiar with Ruby or Python, and with any statically-typed language, it will get you writing working Crystal code in the course of an afternoon. It is also, currently, the only book on Crystal, another point in its favour.

Interessante
