"Leyendas Mexícanas" is a collection of eighteen Mexican legends. Each story is a delight to read. The legends reflect events from approximately 1,500 years of the country's history and folklore of Mexico. The tales introduce an array of memorable characters (from animals, gods, goddesses, ancient rulers and warriors) of the Mexican Republic.They are truly authenthic legends. One of my favorite is "El León y El Grillo." I love the way the little crickett outsmarts the lion. And "Atzima, la Princesa" it a legend of true love. Readers will learn how these characters resolved the dilemas that confronted them: some with great chourage, and others with remarkable ingenuity. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys the rich cultural heritage of Mexico like I do.

I used to be able to read, write and speak Spanish quite well, however lost my job where I used it everyday. It has been quite a few years since I spoke Spansih on a daily basis, so I thought I'd review slowly. This book was easy for me, and reading from it out loud was just the push I needed to continue my studies.

I would have classified this book as acceptable than very good, frankly it was pretty beat up and ready for recyling bin.

i was very disappointed the book looks terrible for what i paid for this looks like a 2.00 book not a 12.00 i bought used books before but this is terrible i think there should be pictures of what you are really buying and let the customer make the decision.

I ordered a used book that supposedly had a little bit of ware but it is written in all over the book
