Does the job. The handles are thin and can hurt sometimes so I bought grips to compensate. Decent for the price though!

I bought these 14in bars to go with an old set of Body Sculpture plates (1in diameter). They fit perfectly and the spinlocks have a rubber seal that tightens nicely. One of the spinlocks arrived slightly damaged - probably in transit - but when I contacted the seller, they responded within a few hours and sent a replacement immediately and without any fuss. Absolutely brilliant customer service.I'm not using them with anything over 5kg at the moment (small person, relative newbie), and so far the spinlocks are holding very securely. I'm not sure the chrome finish would survive heavy use (the damaged spinlock had lost some of its finish, exposing jagged metal). All in all, though, I'm very happy with these - they're great value.

These are solid 1" bars with good locking wheels.Recommended

I purchased the 18 inch handles specifically to fit 10kg plates on. Well one up with 40kg and pressed it and everything was perfectly good. The only thing that puts me off a little is that the stop ring at the bottom of the threading isn't totally welded on so I won't be over tightening those anytime soon. All in all, I'm very satisfied with them.

Been a gym addict for too many years. These are a lovely piece of kit great size for dumbbells, get a good weight on them both. Smooth grip, you do not need gloves, and easy turn locking collar's. Not sure of their empty weight but not a problem when loaded. Would recommend to all home gym boys and girls.

Very shallow threads, 1/3rd to 1/4 the depth expected. This means that other metal 'nuts' from my other bars don't fit, but some plastic ones do. The pro is that the nuts supplied spin very freely. They appear to retain the weights ok. I would not have bought them if I had seen them first, but they work, so are hard to justify returning.........................
