Unit turned out to be much sturdier and heavy weight than I expected.I'm revising this review because I've found another great use for this. The zip lock vacuum bags are not inexpensive, so I reuse them when I can. The rack is perfect for drying them, just putting over the upright pieces without the crossbar in. You can turn them inside out if you prefer.

This sous vide rack is essential for sous vide cooking. Everything I've made thus far prior to ordering this rack has had an issue with floating. I can not sit and push things down or hold them down and that really kinda defeats part of the sous vide cooking process. This rack eliminates the float and is really simple to use. It's made from quality materials and is very durable. Cleanup is a breeze and storage is compact with it's foldable design. I recommend this rack to anyone with a sous vide cooker and wants evenly cooked food every single time.

Will do what it's job. Fits perfect into my sous vide container, however the separation bars are not spaced correctly when installed, making one side narrower than the other when placing food between them. The inserting holes on the base does not match up. Could be an issue depending on the size of the meat I place between them.

Ths is super handy to hold the sous vide bags upright while filling them. Bonus is that it fits perfectly on my freezer shelf to freeze soups upright so I can vacuseal.

I have a closed container in which I sous vide. I carefully measured the depth of this container at 7.0 inches. The diagram in the ad indicates this as being 6.8 inches high. At 6.8 inches high the container would close. The actual height is 7.2 inches. (See photo.) At 7.2 inches high the container will not close.Please, if you are going to state dimensions, get them right. Sometimes, as in my case, it makes all the difference.Aside from inaccurate dimensions, the rack seemed adequate but never got used since it was unusable in its actual dimensions.

Our Sous Vide is amazing and the only thing that could have made it better was this rack. I always have to stick knives in the bin to hold the food down from floating. This eliminated the need for knives and keeps things exactly where they need to be. If you have a sous vide, this is a brilliant addition purchase for you.

Sous vide multiple items and hold them down in the water while cooking without risk of floating. It does the job well and just overall value is very expensive for how small it is.

This is a nice item. It can be set up multile ways and fits the Rubbermaid container perfectly. I would recommend.
