Good quality device with good price
It looks nice, decent quality for a very reasonable price. Received it today. Immediately put it on test. Multiple systems recognized it and promptly installed the drivers in the background. All ports tested functional and devices promptly recognized. Because it was purchased for a small organization, I tested it fully. I hooked up an external SSD directly to my computer and compare it with through this device. I used ATTO benchmarking tool. It turned out that the disk speed is almost identical. The difference is negligible, please see attached screenshot. The hub and its attached devices are recognized regardless when you plug in the devices (before or after hub is plugged in). It is recognized just as promptly in USB 2.0 vs. 3.0 ports.I will update my review if it does not stand test of time.

highly recommend to anyone looking to add extra usb 3.0 ports to their computers
I have used hub's in the past and none of them compare to this one. The reason being, the hub doesn't lose any speed when equipped with 4 extra devices on a single usb 3.0 port. Lightning fast speeds for my gaming keyboard, mouse, external hard drive, and headset. My computer I built only came with 2 usb 3.0 ports in the rear attached to the motherboard. I wanted a way to add more ports without costing barely anything and this product is perfect. The usb cable is about a 12", maybe 13" in length. Which is perfect if you plan using the hub on top of your computer case or beside it.All of the plastics feel very nice to touch and quite durable. The ports are sturdy without any movement and snug when connectors are inside them.overall, very happy with this purchase and highly recommend to anyone looking to add extra usb 3.0 ports to their computers. Can't beat the price either!

Just Didn't Work Well
I ordered this hub based on the reviews here. But when I received it, it just didn't work well. When I connected a device to it, sometimes the computer recognized the device, and sometimes it didn't. I also have the Amazon Basics 4 port USB 3.0 hub and it works great.I returned the Vogek Hub and ordered another Amazon Basics hub. At least I know that one works.

Very slow write speed with external RAID drive
Nice and small, but does not work with my External WD Duo. With this hub the Duo writes at 5-15mb/s. If I connect the Duo right to the computer it writes at 230+mb/s. Oddly it will read at ~300mb/s no matter how it is connected. Something about this hub really slows down the write speed. I did reformat and rebuild the RAID twice. Try other ports. Unplug all other connections. Same result. Other single (non RAID) drives work ok, but write speeds are a bit slower when using the hub.

I used it to add USB ports to a single port Raspberry Pi Zero.
Works well to add USB ports to a Raspberry Pi Zero W. Used with a separate USB charger to power the hub, the hub can power the Raspberry Pi, and then distribute the output from the Rasberry Pi's single USB port to as many as three other USB devices. The Raspberry PI still requires a USB OTG (on the go) adapter to connect to the white input cable. It's small, inexpensive, and makes use of a spare USB charger that you're likely to have laying around unused in your home or office.

wrong cable length, slow, erratic...
was disappointed when i received and tested this usb hub... first: when i was researching for a usb 3.0 hub, i was looking for a hub with less than 6 inches of cord... here's what the answer in the q&a section by Vogek, "Thanks for your question. The cord of black USB hub is about 5 inches(13 cm). The cord of silver hub is longer than black.". nope, it is 11 inches (28 cm)... second: the transfer rate is very slow. this is from a memory card reader onboard a laptop (sandisk ultra 32gb class 10) to a port in the hub (a sandisk ultra plus 64gb class 10) ... 4.34 mbps to 10.89 mbps. approximately 8 gb copied... third: it's inconsistent when a laptop wakes up from hibernation, half the time it is disconnected. it disconnects about a third of the time when the laptop is put to sleep. the whole time, the unit is powered with 5 volt 2.0 amp... very disappointing...

It does what I wanted it to.
I purchased this to split charging off of a single AC power adapter (specifically the adapter that came with my Galaxy Note 3). I intended to charge a tablet, my phone, and if necessary a pair of wireless bluetooth headphones simultaneously. Initially I thought that this product may not be sufficient for my needs as my tablet was showing weak charging while connected to the hub, however it has disappeared and the tablet is remaining at 100% charge while watching streaming video, connected to headphones via bluetooth, and at a relatively high volume. Additionally my phone seems to be charging fine at the same time.Overall a very simple device that does exactly what I intended it to do. I have not used it for actual data throughput, so I can't speak to its efficiency in that regard, but it does what I wanted it to do so it gets 5 stars from me.

Super reliable, compact USB 3 hub
This is a compact hub, that has been so reliable, I ended up buying another two for my office. It has a micro USB port on the end if you needed to add a power adapter, which is a plus since everyone has a spare cellphone charger!I have plugged up to three portable bus powered drives without a hiccup or random disconnect, which is outstanding. Adding a fourth exceeds this guys capabilities, unless you power it.The body is aluminum just like the pictures show, not just plastic.
