It will block the sound completely for first few days, the stickiness of the silicon will be lost after sometime and then it will not block out sound. Because of stickiness it will get dirty very quickly

I have trouble sleeping with anything in my ear. These were far better. They do work well when you follow the instructions carefully. These helped me get through the abuse of sounds created by the monstrosity called Diwali!
